How to Make a Bright Light?

Once we enjoyed a late-night photo shot season with friends outdoor, we had few LED lights to light up the place. One of my friends, a photographer tricked with LED to make a bright light so quickly, also told us how to make a bright light?

In this article, we are going to share our experience of how our friend makes a bright light? Also some tricks & tips regarding this.

Why LED bright light is essential:

Out of LED (light-emitting diodes) design, you can find more if you can command LEDs’ brightness. If you are a photographer like my friend or a fashion designer, you can make more overnice effects by turning your colored LEDs brighter.

In the time of late-night outing, bright light can make you more delight also save your outing cost.

If you create your home LEDs shine brighter, reading newspapers & books will be more accessible. However, it isn’t too hard to make an LED brighter you follow our write-up.

Method-1-How to make the light brighter- while outing photo shot:

Materials you need:

You need some simple and complex materials simultaneously for this build. Here we used to make this light:

  • LED row strip lights (2 x quads).
  • White shower curtains (4x extra-wide)
  • Two energy supply cables.
  • Power supplies.
  • Lamp cord (50ft of).
  • Some rope
  • Few children’s swimming drifters.

The shower curtains are the heart of this design. The material we used is easily fusible, cheap, &lightweight, which turns the curtains an excellent choice.

Most important, talk is that already a shower curtain is familiar for budget diffusion. It would be best to use extra-length, frosted shower curtains for beautiful, ample, soft light.

The Process of making:

The overall process idea is pretty simple; let’s go into much detail.


First, take a shower curtain in two big pieces. To give a rectangular shape (like a balloon) cut the short sides & the long sides. You need extra space to do it appropriately.

Once your cutting is complete, apply an iron to melt both sided together applying steam & the highest heat settings. It would help if you used a thick towel or cloth to heat & moisture between the curtains & the iron and.


When you have all pieces together, you have to make two different holes- One is for filling the balloon with air & another is for charging the LEDs.

Here we used children’s swimming drifter’s valves. Apply hot glue to fix the two valves to the balloon.


Finally, install your LEDs and wire up them carefully by laying them. It will be best if you use adhesive backing LEDs to stay healthy. After simple wiring, power them and make them ready to go.


For leak-testing, do a little more ironing, and you are ready to go.  Hang up the light wherever you want to with rope.

Why you apply this one?

  • Maybe this way is the easiest & quick way to add a substantial soft light to a night outdoor scene. If you do this nearby streetlight or moonlight, this way of lighting will be handier.
  • You can use a super-cheap LED flex panel to do this. There are a thousand causes to apply something like this. While this is still a useful experiment for me &, you can definitely use it whenever you need bright light.

For fun, you can tape some lights with something or some balloons to look at the area cool.

Method-2: Adjust voltage & resistor -which one?

To adjust the LEDs brightness, you have two options- voltage & resistor. It’s your choice-To find a brighter LED, You can add batteries to increase voltage or decrease resistance?

The power supply or the battery produces power; both the LED and resistor utilize power in their ways. The LEDs apply the power to produce light for more light to utilize more power. Using power, the resistor makes heat.

So it would be best if you used power by the resistor as little as possible to put the voltage low.

Using batteries:

If you intend to use batteries to turn an LED brighter, it won’t be crucial. Apply a little resistor (around 100 or 200 ohms). For an instant, to create a power supply applying up AA’s in a pack, adjust a half or one volt at least ‘headroom’ upper the inflated forward voltage with your small resistor.

The forward voltage, resistors, and battery can vary, so don’t go lower than we suggest finding the perfect brightness.

How to create colored LEDs brighter:

How can you originate yellow & red more brightly? I explored “light dilation,” and articles also regarding lasers came up, but I’ve confusion about what I’m going talk for.

If you rectify the LEDs to the button cells directly, it will be the poor practice through the LEDs as you rely upon the cell’s resistance to limit the power.

Use upper voltage and series resistor with the LEDs to command the energy. Keep the power limited to the LED’s maximum rating.

For example, remind that- if your LED rating is 20mA, so you need the resistor around R = (Vbat – Vled)/20ma. Here, the wavelength number says nothing regarding the LED. Use LEDs with high brightness to get the brighter light for a given power.

However, we suggest you don’t try to convert you’re LED too brighter for too long; this could lead to LED life shorter or doesn’t light at all.
